Lapsang Souchong, a kind of black tea,is the earliest black tea in the world and the originator of black tea with a history of more than 400 years. It was developed by local tea farmers in the depths of Wuyi Mountain in Fujian China in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.Its name means orthodox. The tea is smoked with pine needles or pine wood and has a very strong fragrance. Because of smoking, the tea leaves are gray-black, but the tea soup is dark amber.
